As rumors of a Microsoft buyout of Nokia fly, a teaser ad shows the Nokia N9 powered by Symbian Anna

A teaser ad for the Nokia N9 has been discovered on YouTube and it reveals some interesting things about the handset. Expected to come with the MeeGo OS on board, the video shows some Symbian-style icons and other screen elements. That's why it isn't certain right now what we should expect from this device software-wise. The ad also shows what appears to be a 12MP camera on the handset.

Things could be changing big time at Nokia. Rumors of a Microsoft buyout of the mobile phone division of the company have been started by Eldar Murtazin who says that a deal could be completed by the end of the year and would cost the software company $30 billion. As we reported, Microsoft recently spent $8.5 billion to buy VoIP company Skype.

Considering that Murtazin had correctly predicted that Nokia would turn to Windows Phone 7 to replace Symbian back in December, there could be some truth to this speculation. However, Mark Squires, Nokia’s UK Comm Director, has rejected Murtazin's comments by tweeting that "We typically don't comment on rumors. But we have to say that Eldar's rumors are getting obviously less accurate with every passing moment."
